Faith 4-28-18 ❤️AN ADOPTION AND AN ADOPTION UPDATE❤️ Little Faith has gone home to a loving family and doggy siblings. She will enjoy having a doggy door to a fenced in yard to run in whenever she wants. Lucky girl!! 1 year ago, to the day, HEART alum Fergie was adopted to the daughter of this family and is now living large and in charge in LA. She gets to go to dog parks and beaches and has an amazing life with her aspiring actress mom! Thanks to Bailing Out Benji for rescuing these precious souls from the puppy mills and getting them to rescues like ours to make these happily ever afters possible!!! |
Winston 2-11-18 "Too good to be true".......only this time it is true. Winston came from a horrible puppy mill at the age of 10. He is deaf, has limited vision in one eye and a slight heart murmur but he also has the sweetest temperament. His journey to a loved, spoiled, happy life began today. You see, he met his new dad and grandma today and will soon meet his new mom when he arrives in WA!! Yes WASHINGTON, as in the state!! His new mom gets to take Winston to work with her where he will get to be with other doggie friends and people that will love him. We are over the moon and back with excitement for Winston. |
Finley 2-8-18 Finley is going to have an extremely happy Valentine’s Day, because he gets to spend it in his very own Fur-ever home! At 14 years old, this is his first family EVER!! We could not be any more excited to see Finley find his home so quickly and know that he is going to be loved, snuggled and spoiled for the rest of his life. |
Emmy Lou 1-27-18 Emmy Lou has some pretty amazing angels looking over her. Before coming to HEART, she spent her life in a puppy mill. Once saved, she lived in an awesome foster home. She then got an application from a wonderful couple from Winona, MN. So how do we get Emmy Lou from Des Moines to Winona? Emmy Lou is off to her new forever home because we have amazing dedicated volunteers that take time out of their life to transport. Their travels are Emmy Lou's new happy journey. |
Ruby 1-25-18 On December 16th, a couple HEART volunteers traveled to meet a couple volunteers with Bailing Out Benji to rescue a couple dogs from an Amish puppy mill. Those two dogs were Carly and Gus but we also had the privilege of rescuing Ruby. Ruby wasn't a puppy mill dog, but a mutt that had been running at large for quite sometime, chasing wildlife, trying to stay alive. If we wouldn't have rescued her that day she most likely would not be alive as there were people out there that were going to shoot her. She was thin and stinky but most important she was the absolute sweetest dog you could ever meet (dare we say possibly even perfect). Ruby went into a loving foster home and was so adored. She was the perfect house guest. On January 24th, Ruby found her forever family. She will have the quiet, loving life that she so deserves. Ruby, I know your life will be as special as you are. |
Bob The Plumber Bob the Plumber is now Bob the Adopted😊 Bob has a new human sister and they were friends right away❤ She gave him his favorite toys his foster home brought...balls, mice, strings and a little stuffed wolf animal. Bob has a brother too, a German shepherd, and that friendship may take a bit longer. |
Carly 1-6-18 Today was Carly’s BEST DAY EVER, and many more to come! (Carly is on the right) She now has a family to love her forever! She got to go on a Petsmart shopping spree, and in a couple days she gets to go RV’ing to Florida to escape the cold Iowa winter! We couldn’t be happier for Carly and wish her and her family safe travels! |
